The glutton for punishment that I am wants the aux in. Of course the plug I have doesn't have the detection function. I assume that without the wire, I simply must press the AUX button on the head unit. Oh the horror haha.

On my radio the detection wire switches the radio to the DVD function and not the AUX audio in, so you might want to check into that and see how yours functions.
I'm pretty sure I included an extra wire so you can hook that up.

I got a little side tracked. The new Jade Black bits don't match the Jade Silver.. so... I bought some vinyl.

More progress pics. Decided to install the glove box light since that is where I installed the USB/AUX connector. I also added a dual USB charger tucked away in the cubb/handle of the console. I'm waiting on a smokers cubby that I may or may not paint/wrap in gloss vinyl. I have the shifter plate in Rado Silver and the gloss black to see what I like more. I'm REALLY glad I wrapped the silver parts, It makes the interior look mean as hell.

BTW, I didn't bother with the AUX detection because the AUX in general doesn't sound nearly as good as the streaming audio. Low volume and muffled.

More rambling:

I learned something new about USB chargers the other day. Unless you short the two center pins together, the phone thinks the cable can be used for data and slow charges (500mA).
