The sound is a little louder than how the video sounds. I would say it is about a 50 - 75% increase in sound level over stock GXP mufflers. I can definitely tell when driving.

I do not know if they drone however in the 1700 to 2200 rpm range. Plus you are stock right now. It would be comparing apples to oranges with someone who has headers, no cats, and removed the resonators.
2009 g8gt - rotofab cai, ported throttle body & FAST intake, 1 7/8s kooks shorties with 3 inch exhaust. 3600 circle D triple disc stall and tranni cooler, udp, hoosier 17 inch drag radials. 223/235 cam/gmpp Heads. HP Tuners. 416 with 11.3 to 1 compression.

Currently with everything else stock, the mufflers have a slight drone on acceleration in the 1500-2200 range, but once you lay off and cruise, it is just as quiet as stock. I will see what it does once I install my headers and catted xpipe that come in this week.

I have Kooks mids 1 7/8 to high flow mini cats into 2.5 id X pipe then straight pipe to axle back Magnflow ss mufflers. There was drone until the X pipe was installed. I had several configurations of exhaust all had drone of various degrees until the X pipe install. The X pipe seems to make all mufflers tolerable. The Magnaflow mini straightthrough ss mufflers are perfect. Flow like no mufflers at all, has deep powerful exhaust note, lightweight compared to stock, been on over 100,000 miles and to me have that hard to get deep cruising v8 sound and when WOT have the nasty authoritative power sound.
