I love my G8GT. I had a 2002 SSEi Bonneville that was totaled in a hailstorm right after moving down here. Like the G8 it was the family car so I left it alone although I'm really (really) itching to play with the G8. If I do I want to do as much as possible keeping regular (lower octane) gas, keep the DoD, and make as much power with it within those parameters. Good headers and exhaust system. Maybe adding a stroker crank at some time for more torque at a lower rpm for mileage. OR, probably just keep it simple. Intake and exhaust additions for more efficiency. Although we live right in the city, most of the roads/streets/avenues I use are 40 or 45 speed ;limits and AZ is good for always allowing 10 over. So much of the time I can feel the DoD kicking in. Over time I may do a little playing with weight removal. A little here and a little there can all add up, and it's cheap, as long as the car does not fold in half, LOL.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the G8. You may want to consider tuning the car. Even stock it can be improved in both power and MPG. I spent a lot of time dialing in the DOD on my last G8, even with the can replacement. My new one has the DOD removed.

I'm in the east valley but work in Phoenix if you ever need something.
