FINALLY got the car back on the road. After hearing everyone say that I was looking at a $1000 dealership visit, I had to see if I could lessen the pain in my pockets if at all possible.
Instead of spending $1000 to fix this issue, I was able to get it done for less than $70!!
Was able to buy a used control module, install it myself and recalibrate it.
Fells good to not let the stealership get my money.

This is an old post but thought I'd throw this out there. My airbag fault warning intermittently comes on in my 2013 PPV. Recently had the radio unlocked by white and unpulled the BCM because I was going to swap it out with one of his reprogrammed ones but it's on backorder so I put the original one back in. All while the battery was unplugged of course. I'm sure I'll need to have it scanned with a tech 2 to know for sure but can this fault be caused by unplugging and reattaching the battery and BCM or does it typically mean it's a hardware issue?

I don't know for sure. Mine turned out to be a hardware issue hence changing the control module. Don't know if that helps any.

I don't see why unplugging/replugging the BCM would impact things, best bet is to get the code pulled.
