Default Fiberglass cowl induction hood (inactive)

Some of you know I bought a used carbon fiber hood. It's going to be used as the base.

I had it shipped to MPD1 who lives within a short drive from my house.
This will not be a flimsy hood, Eric make high quality parts from fiberglass.

    Here's the deal:

I need 5 people who want a cowl induction hood for their G8.
The price is $1500 with $500 up front cost. I'm paying the same as the other 4 buyers. I asked for a price break @ 10 and Eric said I won't find 10 buyers.
The hood will weigh around 32 lbs.
You will receive a hood ready for fitting and paint. This will not be a fast project. We won't see hoods until sometime in spring as a mold needs to be made from my hood.
If you check out MPD1 on camaro5, you will find many happy customers.

I was in his shop yesterday fitting the carbon fiber hood to my G8, which actually didn't not look good. It wouldn't even latch.

I'll post a photo of the cowl induction piece sitting on top the carbon fiber hood just to give you an idea.

    Ray
Remember, this is just sitting on top the hood.

The low pressure scoops will be smooth.

I've been waiting to see someone do this for years! Wish I had the coin right now Ray. Should look pretty badass, and open up some more intake/induction options.

Because you can use this to direct cooler air to the Procharger intake filter.

I am looking at it more for a weight savings on the front.... the air being forced from the windshield would help cool where the procharger sucks air from... anytime the air is cooler the better and much safer.. but I am more concerned about the weight... and I think it would make the car look bad ass.... something completely different that no one has ever seen before on these cars.... I get enough looks from people who cant mentally digest that the sound of my car is actually coming from a 4 door sedan... the hood might help them understand.. .... I hate leaving people in a confused state....
