Thread: Scammed by MIEngineer...Dan

    So in the other board MIEngineer told me he would refund the money after I lifted the claim...only problem is that if I lift the claim I will have no recourse if he decides not to refund it. He stated that he couldn't refund my money until the claim was lifted. What would be the proper action here? I dont wanna piss anyone off but I dont wanna get scewed either

    As a moderator there is only a couple things I can do.

    You have to do what is right for you, I cannot advise you on what to do. In the rules for sale sticky you'll see that the Admins and moderators are not responsible for any sale. Buyers are on their own. However, as a community we can do things as well.

    Dan will get a pm from me, if he doesn't refund, he will lose any right to sell in the forum.

    Its funny how your asking for help and other people opinions now after you've blasted MIEngineer. When you could've asked for it before you went this far.

    No is not funny, nothing about this situation is funny. It seemws like I was getting scammed, as anyone else would. High post count or not. .. it still seemed like a scam...

    I have done business with Dan and he has been great to deal with. He ships everything well packaged. Dan is a great guy and has been a great contributor to this forum like many others.

    Communication wasn't a problem.. he does have a lot going on and sometimes he cannot get back to you within 24 hours and that's not a bad thing .. so I cannot see that being an issue also.

    Dan has been very helpful to me both in knowledge and parts. Fast delivery, no.......excellent results, yes.

    Just my opinion formed from my experiences.

    The similar thread on G8Board went south when Dan responded and was locked without full resolution. I'll vouch for Dan as well, as I've dealt with him in the past.
