    Default What would you do?

So in My other thread you saw the damage to my car from the kid hitting me. Went to the body shop to talk to the guy and he didn't dive too deep into the car but came up with $8600 total for parts/labor. He didn't seem to care much.

I think there could be more, but have No idea what to do. I'm not agreeing to the check with 8600 cause I don't wanna find out while getting fixed there's more damage.

What would you all do? I'm trying to find a place in Wisconsin i trust here but am having no luck. Some people are sayin to total the car out, some say fix. I'm worried if it gets fixed and I go back to my long travels in September and something happens while I'm out of town. So.. what should I do?

Mine took 2 months. $11500 total. Estimate was only $6500. I'd keep it.

    At $8600, I doubt they'll total it.
Do some research (maybe check out the Camaro5 forum and others) for a shop with good reviews.
Last thing you need is to drive something that someone doesn't give a shit about while they fix it. If you're not comfortable, thank him, and get it out of there. He may not want to fix it because its not your "normal" car, who knows? Not a reason you should be stuck with it if he can't beat the book on it. There are plenty of good choices out there.
Hang in there. Right now the insurance company works for you. Polite, professional, and firm will get you where you want to be.
Keep it. You know what you have.

It's TOTALLY worth taking it somewhere else if you're not getting good vibes. TRUST ME, it's NOT worth being disappointed in the end.
