    Default Powder coating an intake??

Does anybody know if our plastic intake manifolds, OEM or FAST, can take powder coating cure temps?

Not sure but don't think so..we cured (baked) our powder paint for 15 to 20 minutes at 365 degrees..I worked in a production powder paint shop for over 30 years at Steelcase Inc. (office furniture company)..don't think plastic would hold up in those conditions.

Good point but still don't know if they would hold up..if you could find a damaged one or whatever to try might be an option..throw it in a oven for the 15-20 mins. @ 365 and inspect..but even if it appears fine from the outside what about internally?..if your able to try this keep us posted would like to know if we can do this.

It is composite, You can do the cover not sure about the whole intake though. Ive see a few different versions of these. I think Powdercoater Mike was mentioned here as well. Don't know him but have seen his name mentioned in high regard multiple times on forums.
