Default l76 forged pistons and rods?

    hey guys.

looking up strengthening up the bottom end in my l76.
not looking at doing the crank at this stage,
im wanting to keep the standard bore size and only upgrade the pistons and rods, to handle my maggie 2300 with a medium amount of boost, say 14psi?

now before i go speaking to a engine builder im wanting to now what you guys think.
what brand pistons, rods you recommend, where they can be sourced from?

mainly after the specs (sizes and details etc)

    Cheers in advance...

I'd start out by talking to Livernois or Texas Speed & Performance. You're basically looking at LS2 rotating assembly pieces. The factory crank is pretty tough so I don't believe you'll need to upgrade that. For that level of boost you'll probably want to go to a 9.x to 1 forged piston (Wiseco or Diamond) with rings set up for boost as well. Lots of good H-beam rods to choose from (Manley, Lunati, Callies, K1) using the ARP 2000 rod bolts. I imagine you'll want to upgrade the rod & main bearings as well (Clevite). I'm no engine building expert but that appears to be the generic recipe. Gotta love GM LSX, six bolt mains from the factory = muy bueno.
