    Default Paddle Shifters

I was able to figure out how to get a set of paddle shifters/ button shifters installed in our steering wheel and more importantly working! I started a thread over on the other board about it.
    http://www.g8board.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58833

    My question is-
Would there be enough of an interest over here for me to start a install program? I would install the buttons in a spare steering wheel shroud, with the correct resistors soldered in. The recipient would have to install the shroud and complete the wiring in their car. As of current, this would involve disabling the LEDs that back light our steering wheel buttons.

Let me know what you all think.

Can you even get the wheel shroud by itself?

You sure can. I have already sourced the part number and have one on order. I figure if this takes off i can do a core system. Ill pay for your old one.

doesn't hurt to sell it pre fabed. if i were gonna do it i def would look for it to be pre-completed because i suck with a dremel. as far as an exchange program aren't the shrouds like $20 and the buttons less than $50? if so getting it pre-fabed for around a $100 seems like easy then just leave the labor up to someone else because i am not touching my airbag and i live close the VegasNate.

also waiting for an option that allows me to keep the lights on my wheel.

VegasNate actually just installed his button that he bought from me, i sold him a set with the necessary resistors installed and he cut them in himself. I would provide the buttons with new resistors, all necessary connectors (taps, butt splices) and some picture instruction how to's. The shrouds are about $35 bucks shipped, The buttons are close to $50 if you can get them, currently amazon is taking weeks to get them. $100 would be a little low if labor is included for cutting the buttons in and the included connectors & wire. i understand your hesitance with the airbag, i was nervous too. Its not that bad tho, a lot of people have done it now perfectly fine. Like i said before i would include all instructions with pics to make it easy.

I'm in. After my slow run on the local track I consider this mod a must! To keep my hands on the wheel and be able to shift will be awesome.
