Default Ready to switch cams...what should I do?

I currently have the Stage 1c, and am looking at going a little more aggressive. I am staying stock stall. I am also planning Landspeed stage 2 heads, ported intake, and ported t/b. I am impressed with the 223/231 114 + 2 Devillish used to reach 11.4. This is the cam I am interested in. I have no idea how he pulled off that time, but if I can get high 11's to very low 12's, I would be content. What are the larger cams being run on stock stalls? Thanks for any insight.

You should really be thinking about a stall convertor if you go much bigger on cam. Not to mention that is where quicker ETs come from as well.

You need the stall to reach your goals.

Dang it i just bought a 1C cam lol i got the stage 2 ported land speed heads with stainless steel Manley exhaust valves and LS3 intake valves orted intake and TB also. I'll be running the 1C cam with this set up. But you should really look into getting a stall converter. PM me if you decide to sell the 1C i'm building another motor and want the same cam in it.

You're going to need a converter if you go to a bigger cam.

Let's see he pulled that off because he had a 3200 stall, a PERFECT trans tune, good DA, & over 150 runs on the car. He didn't just drive to the track, run a 11.45, and drive home.

My honest opinion is you can run that cam with a stock stall(which I did for about 40 day until I had money for the stall)It will pulse a lttle but it never pushed the car while stopped at a light..
