    I get a pop from the front left on a hard roll to the right and I have yet to diagnose it.

    Here's a question...

    If I suspect an LCA, can I unbolt it and pop it free from the knuckle and then just wiggle it around to see if it's bad?

    You might find a bad bushing that way but not a bad ball joint.

    Do they leave a discolouration on the bush or wear mark if their buggered ??

    If the bushing is bad, it's probably ripped or has cracks visible like dry rot on a tire. It could have failed in a place that you won't see it. You may need to just know how much movement it should allow. It's hard to describe in text... at least for me.
