Me neither, but the only way I can come up with 418 ci is 4.03" bore and 4.100" stroke. Neither dimension is a good idea with a factory LS2 block.

If going with LS2 based engine then keep displacement to right around 400ci for FI. If going LS3 based engine then you can go upwards of the 4-teens area for FI. Both LS2 and LS3 based combo's are easily capable of making 700-800rwhp with FI. You don't need the few extra cubes to hit it either. I plan to make right around 800rwhp in my car and am only running a built 402 and TT's. The 16 extra cubes cannot hurt, so if you want them then do it with an LS3 based combo.

The big deciding factor here is that you plan to go with forced induction and bigger hp. Of the two choices you just posted the LS3 418 would be the better choice for the path you plan to take.

I think most people will agree that a 416 LS2 is not a good choice... you could probably do it, but chancy!!!!! I wouldnt go more than 403 or so on a LS2..... LS3 is a different story...

if your going to spend a bunch of money dont go cheap and then you will worry later on..... just an opinion,,,
