    Default Real HSV Instrument Cluster into a G8 inches closer towards reality...

    Some of you guys who have been around a long time know that I've been playing with a real HSV instrument cluster with the end game in mind to get it into a G8. This has proven quite a bit more difficult than one would think due to a bunch of little changes between vehicles such as: The way the steering wheel controls interface with the AUS Spec Commodore, ours wouldn't work at all. The restraint systems are a bit different as are the suspension/tires/engine options on the HSV. Also the HSV cluster does not have the required indicators for US use just to name a few of the bigger problems.


    That said I've been playing with this thing since late 2008 and last night I finally made some headway with it and I think I can (relatively!) safely say that HSV clusters into the US spec G8 will be a reality in the near future

    Just figured I'd share the news and after I get the final version running I'll get with Paul after we figure out demand to figure out a way to get these things done.

    Awesome, so in theory we would buy the HSV cluster and you would program it to our VIN and then we can just swap it in. No down time basically?

    Basically, yes we would stock clusters and retrofit and ship them as required thats the short version

    Ok. Didn't know if you got them during the week. I saw UPS delivered my package today and I was throwing more money your way but it is time critical. Seems like it was unlikely anyway.
