    If it was between this and a face plate that looks like ass at night, I would pony up for this also - along with the added bonus of added functionality. If it can be done and it is a true plug and play exercise.

    A custom one off face plate is $260 and won't look right, I'm 1/3 of the way there to have the REAL gauges.

    Did Chris ever look more into this? What about the VXR8 cluster since it has km/h and MPH?

    Not sure...this is 5-6 years ago.

    I have one I bought and I never put it in a car because of the headache.

    There is a guy on FB that has a fully functional e3 instrument cluster tuned to US spec with a custom overlay and it looks fantastic. I recently received a Holden IQ radio with gauges for an outstanding price and currently working with the same guy on a reprogrammed cluster. All sensor and calibration issues have been overcome with the new programming.

    Is this JSB? Any pictures of this cluster?

    I've tried contacting him to no avail. He has some custom made USB drives that he sends around Australia which allows people to program their vehicles via the OBDII port.

    I'd like to pay for the service and get this going around here and enable some missing features. Features such as:

    • Competition Mode: Push the traction control button once disables traction control. Push it again and stability control + traction control is disabled. Most GM vehicles have this option where pushing it once disables traction control. Pushing + hold for 10+ seconds disables both. Obviously, one push of the button on the G8 disables both.

    • DIC setting/options from VE Series II:

    It's not JSB...the companies I sent you via PM can do reprogramming. Attached is a picture of Keith Grisham's car with a working e3 instrument cluster. I will be receiving mine within the next month, but may not install until March due to the cold temperatures in NJ

    Any close ups of the cluster face?

    Also, do you have any contact information for Keith? I'd like to know where he had his lower dash trim painted at.
