    Default Random Technology Highflow Cats

Looks like my cats may be gone on my maggie g8. We've been running a little too rich setup I think and the cats may be the problems I was having on the dyno. I read some stuff on the Random Technology Cats and they appear to be the best on the market by a shit load. Has anyone else bought a set of these. I want to get a set of new cats and then do a retune and fix this issue when I get back from vacation next week.

If you don't have inspections you should go without.

We do have Missouri inspections every 2 years.

If they just have an obdii test and a visual inspection, you could have someone gut the cats and weld in an internal test pipe that they couldn't see. The obdii is easy to get around. Visually it would look like it had cats...

I've heard you shouldn't just gut the cats though because it causes back pressure issue going from higher to lower to higher restriction. i.e. header to cat to cat back exhaust pipe.

Or you could just put the cats on before you go to the inspection facility, pass the inspection, and then put the cat-less pipes back on. Just don't tell them I told you to do it...
