OK thanks. I am liking the idea of this "budget Brembo upgrade". I think this will be my next mod (keep stock rears).
Did you get everything? Is it all hooked up? Why did you go with the 4 piston Brembos (CTS V 04-07, GXP 09) instead of the 6 piston CTS V 09-?

are the 04-07 CTS-V brembos the same as the '10 Maro brembos?? same calipers, rotors (height, thickness, etc.), same lines???

Yup. '09 CTS-V 6 piston front calipers are at least double the cost of the 04-07 CTS-V calipers. Depends on where you buy though but still more expensive.
04-07 CTS-V's have 6 lug rotors so they are definitely different. Calipers "look" the same but not sure on exact details. Caliper pistons are the same though (44/40). Not sure on lines.
I found the CTS-V (09-..) 6 piston Brembos for $325 each, which is really a great deal considering, so I was just wondering.....
I guess they are 1/2 the price...

Yes but what are you going to do with just the calipers?
Rotors are over 200 each and the pin kits are double. Not to mention the pads.
He did go just about the least expensive route for getting new parts.
