I took notice that this piece went thru ISC New York facility. With previous shipments I saw that they came in California and then headed across the nation. I've read quite a few horror stories about the ISC New York facility and needless to say I'm glad this wasn't in any worse of a condition.

Normally all my stuff to USA arrives thru California but a month either side of Christmas I've noticed USPS opening up NY and Chicago as entry points also. I do remember one heavily beaten box and another that sat still in NY for 2 weeks around Xmas 2013.
Overall I do think the system has improved in the past couple of years.

I currently have the Nav kit in my car (not sure where it came from but it looks like this - http://www.jhpss.com/Pontiac-G8/Inte.../gpskit1-h.jpg), would I need to replace all the trim again or just need the gauge pod part? I just bought the car, would prefer gauges over the Garmin.

You'd only need the gauge pod housing and the non-MRC blank
plus a pair of rectangular air vents, some screws, and the twin rectangular outlet Y air duct.
[You've currently got square vents and twin square Y duct]

Here's the vents and duct you need, I've got plenty of these in used condition you can have....just pay any additional shipping required.
