Default HSRK disconnect = strange result

So I was detailing the engine bay and cleaning the vararam filter last week. All finished, started the car to move back into the garage and the fun button (stability control) turns itself off immediately. I pressed the button with no change. After a restart and same result I checked under hood and realized the HSRK was still disconnected at the sensor (not the MAF).

The system check was okay and the only indication of a problem was the stability control. Thought it was strange and worth passing on.

I had the same issue. When I called OnStar, they diagnosed it as an MAF issue. Popped my hood and sure enough, the plug was loose.
