I think we should come to his shop and paddle him with it.

At the risk of being dense, does that mean they'll reduce drone and loudness? I see there is a 2.25" version that will fit our exhaust. So if you have cats welded to your headers, where do you put them?

    I don't know; that's why I asked the question.

Hmmm... I'm wondering if this would be an acceptable solution to slightly reducing noise of a completely un-muffled exhaust? Say if you had headers, a catted x-pipe and custom straight pipes (as I do, rather, to the custom straight pipe axlebacks), would this have the same effect as an very un-restrictive (re: straight through) mid-muffler?

That's what the exhaust inserts are intended for, to quiet down an unmuffled exhaust system.

Always thinkin', eh red? My thoughts are that it may reduce sound volume - albeit slightly, but would not have any effect on drone. For my money, though, the 12" Cherry Bomb Extremes would be more effective while being less restrictive (also no effect on the drone monster). Yes they take up 12 inches of pipe length, but since they don't go inside the pipe = less restriction.
Yes for us larger guys that screw can be a pain!
