New VCIM's

Anyone wanting to do the bluetooth mod to their non '09.5 G8 can walk right into their local GM dealer and just order one brand new,just have the partsman state there will be no core vcim and also order the b/t antenna.Then any GM service dept. can program it to your vehicle.After searching on and off for a used vcim and the rediculous prices some want,I just stopped and thought, i work for a dealer all my life and just asked the parts guy to see if he can just order me the parts, minus core and he was able to, no questions asked by the supplier.,Anyone need any assistance with yours PM me

Do you still have to get it reprogrammed by Chris or does it work properly without it? And how much did it run you?

Being it is brand new, it is not vin locked and can be programmed by any GM dealer,Anyone in the Central Fla. area i can do this for you, My cost was under 300.00 for all but i work for a dealer Regards

Unless ATC changed their policies, the dealer ordering all these vcim's could get in trouble. ATC only is supposed to sell them for fire or theft and they do an exchange for warranty. Once in awhile is fine, but dont make a habit out of it.

No it CAN NOT new modules need retrofit programming as well its completely different also this post is seriously misleading as the above scenario is not the case I spoke to ATC yesterday.

THERE IS NO DEALER PROGRAMMING FOR CARS THAT DIDNT COME WITH IT TO FUNCTION AS DESIGNED THIS HAS BEEN COVERED MANY TIMES.

So then with a brand new module it will never enable blutooth ? After dealer available programming ? I was just shocked that i have my parts coming
