I am trying to find a way to test the watts coming from the ballasts just to eliminate the fact that maybe they gave me the wrong watts. Invoice said 25W, but the ballasts did not have the W's on them. Might ease the tension of some members who have installed them if I can prove the ballast was the wrong watts.

I have the Putco Bulbs in there now, and they ad a little more color, but nothing in comparison to the HIDs.

I've stuck this thread for the non believers...

I think it's important info for people.

If you prove that they are NOT 25W let me know and I'll unstick it.

U prob don't have wrong ballast. I have 25 watt ballast and mine are showing signs of melting. Not as fast as when I tested the 35 watt ballast but it does still happen.

Eric (cobrakiller) has 8k 25watt fogs and his are also showing signs of melting mine are 6k and I see signs of the same. Just goes to show how crappy these housing are if even a regular bulb melts it like the putco.

Damn Rican, I thought your melting was being caused by the bulb popping out... Now you're saying it's still an issue even after you got the bulb in the right way?

Is anyone experiencing any melting with 3k?
