Bottom line is for a 1/4 mile, in a straight line, the Tesla is a 4 door beast the likes of which the world has never seen. I dont want one either (maybe just jealous because I cant afford one) but you have to appreciate its performance when gauged by the quarter mile standard. I cant imagine I would be afraid of anything at a stop light if I was driving one.

    Default Oil change question.

Why do you check your oil on the dipstick after an oil change? lol. I mean if you left the drain plug out, or forgot to put on the filter you'd kind of find out by the pool of oil running on the floor. If you were worried about a crack you'd know by the drained oil. I mean you just put 8.8 quarts in G8 GT, or the normal 5, or whatever's appropriate. Where's it gonna go. What is pulling out the dipstick, wiping it off, and checking one more time, maybe doing it one more, going to tell you. Oh, I only put 8.5 in, by the dipstick, when no one can truly agree when the three indentation are for! Of which, I, of course, have my own opinion. So today I changed my oil. Made sure the filter gasket came off with the filter. Tightened the drain plug. Oiled the gasket. Tightened one full turn after contact. Put roughly 8.8 quarts in, and didn't check the dipstick. And it's killing me! But I'm not going to do it!
