Well, you know what happens to me when I get ideas! I'm gonna have to be more careful about letting some of them out on the general population. I'm not a good judge of comprehension and whether people know or can take a joke. Some mighty serious folk on the planet nowadays.

What about the SLP Loudmouth conversion? When's that gonna happen? Like to hear how that comes out, and I do mean, "Hear".

Given that the inside of the stock muffler is basically this design (with a lot of fiberglass insulation) and they have been shown to only eat up about 3-6 HP. I would imagine that flow is not be big issue.

If the Helmholtz chamber is attached on the inward side of the axleback, it should not affect flow at all, specially if you clean up the interior of the pipe after welding is done. Make it nice and smooth.

Congrats for thinking outside the square with this mod.
With all due respect tho, aren't most 80 yo's as deaf as a post....or "totally on another planet".

I mentioned previously that I thought they had their "Beltones" on and turned up, because we were talking to each other. You might be right, though, because I don't remember hearing that "squeeeeeel" when they've got 'em cranked up too high!

I think it's the younger ones that are on another planet.

    Default adjustable

I have an adjustable "cap" on mine. Initially set to 30.5". It has eliminated drone (no DOD on mine), so I have not tried any other length. This works, and with Kooks headers and mid pipe, makes the car sound like it should...perhaps a little more than it should.
Yes for us larger guys that screw can be a pain!

08 G8 GT, IOM, Rotofab, HSRK, Kooks LTs, track pipes, Custom engine covers, catch can, radiator cover, and tranny tunnel brace. 402hp/396tq - not bad for a bolt -on car.
    8.43 1/8th; 2.01 60' - no skillz.
