Hey folks,
I am new to yalls forum, and recently got an 08 G8 (3.6 L V6). And I was wondering, if it's supposed to have that engine splash shield installed? Like what they usually install on the G6, which I know for sure?
The thing is, that I bought this G8 used, and the guy I bought it from told that it wasn't there - is that true? Or even if not, should I get one in?
I read that this is a cool thing to have, as apart of protecting the engine from slush, moisture and stuff it also improves aerodymanics, which is also cool to my mind.
PS - the G8 is new to me so I hope yall will not laugh at my question, which may seem obvious to those who know every bolt in this Pontiac
Cheers!
Okay, I found this piece for G6, which is obviously smaller (to my mind), here is what I mean: https://www.carid.com/engine-splash-shields/
And I haven't got this shield on my G8, so I was wondering if it was supposed to be there? As if it should be, I'll check out junkyards to get one.
I've read that in general, the splash guard is a cool thing to have....
Well, then looks like I will have to check the junk yards, maybe will find one for my G8... If no, will see what they have on ebay...Thanks for replying, man!
